Asia Plateau Internship Team

On September 8, 2008, the new Asia Plateau Internship Program commenced. Eight young people from different parts of the world and India came to AP to learn to serve and lead. We started the program with looking at what makes a good community and introducing Initiatives of Change community life.

These are some of the first impressions of the interns after this fascinating first week:

"The most important thing of all that I am delighted to know of: Listen with my heart, and answer with my life. I have known of what it means to be a community, and to be a part of it. This week is ever so important. Thank you, everyone, from my heart." - Jaka (Vietnam)

"… one thing that I have really understood, is that the solution for everything is you or myself. As an individual I have came to realise that I'm not different from anybody, and we all are same, hungry for love and peace. For this we all have to take initiatives to change this world for better place to live so that we can fulfill our hunger and live peacefully. And I'm really looking forward to this program…" - Pempa (Tibet)

"… I have learnt more than what I have learned during my college times… I have learnt what it needs to build a healthy community and struggles that are associated with it." - Jordhen (Tibet)

"Here I found lot's of people whose life is an example of service and hard work which they have given to the society without any thing in return for many years. It is really inspiring. I pray that the same hunger and thirst for learning be with me till the end of my stay." - Sunil (India, Assam)
